Count Us Caribbean

A Project of the National Caribbean American Complete Count Committee

WELCOME! SUPPORT CENSUS 2010!

Welcome to the official website for the National Caribbean American Complete Count Committee. The mission of this committee is to ensure the participation of all Caribbean Americans in the Census 2010. This committee was formed under the leadership of the Institute of Caribbean Studies in response to a call by the US Census Department in 2008. ICS as a National Partner of the Census has partnered with Caribbean American leaders and organizations across the country in order to raise awareness of the 2010 Census, and help to achieve a complete and accurate count of the growing Caribbean American population in the United States.

This partnership with the Caribbean American community is part of a larger effort by the Census Bureau to increase participation in the 2010 Census, as census data directly affects how more than $400 billion per year in federal funding is distributed to state, local and tribal governments, and are used to distribute congressional seats to states.
